When it's time to give a little nighttime lift to your baby, choose Baby's First Organic Pillow to start them off right. It has an extra low-loft design just for their precious little bodies and is sweetly safe from all flame retardants and anti-wrinkle additives.
Early on many babies may not actually use the pillow all night so if you see this, don't worry; it's perfectly normal and their way of slowly discovering what they need to feel most comfortable.
We don't make a pillowcase for Baby's First Pillow as it will not stop drool or spitting up from reaching the inside of any pillow. It is preferable and far more sanitary in these early childhood years to wash and dry the entire pillow - and our double stitched pillow is constructed just for such repeated washings! We recommend a weekly or bi-weekly laundering...or of course as needed.
The organic fabric we have chosen is a KNIT vs the traditional woven percale. This is completely different in the world of bed pillows and we are the first to do this. Not only did knit turn out to have the most amazing feel and softness but it also has a significantly smaller carbon and resource footprint. *Sadly, woven fabrics require vast, VAST quantities of energy, chemicals and water to produce while knit is ultra-low input.
Keeping the transportation carbon footprint small is another contributing factor to the earth-friendliness of our Sown2Sewn (TM) Organic Pillows. Here is a quick peak into that local USA supply chain:
Organic Cotton Cover: Grown in Texas > Spun and knitted in North Carolina > Made into pillows in Virginia
